CELEBRATING PEOPLE WHO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the Publisher and Chief Editor of Momentous Magazine, Amb. Prince Sesan Rufus Awobiye, said the magazine remains committed to ensuring that deserving individuals and institutions receive public recognition for their contributions and accomplishments.
According to him, the essence of MOPA goes beyond the presentation of plaques or awards, as the platform seeks to document and celebrate stories of individuals whose commitment, sacrifice, leadership and achievements provide inspiration to others.
He emphasised that recognition remains an important tool for encouraging excellence and responsible leadership, particularly at a time when society needs more positive examples of people using their positions, talents and resources to make meaningful contributions.
«“MOPA is about celebrating excellence, recognising service and telling the stories of people whose contributions deserve to be acknowledged. We believe that those who make a positive difference in society should not only be recognised but also encouraged to do more,” the Publisher said.»
Amb. Awobiye further stated that the 2026 edition is being positioned to reflect the values of professionalism, excellence, leadership, integrity, innovation, service and societal impact, while creating an environment where honourees, guests and stakeholders can interact, network and celebrate achievements.
AN EVENING OF EXCELLENCE AND RECOGNITION
The event is expected to provide an opportunity for honourees and guests to connect with leading figures across government, business, professional organisations, agriculture, security, media, community development and other sectors.
Beyond the awards themselves, MOPA 2026 is expected to serve as a platform for meaningful conversations, networking and the exchange of ideas among individuals and institutions contributing to Nigeria’s development and Africa’s broader socio-economic progress.
Momentous Magazine is therefore calling on all nominees, honourees, invited guests, partners, stakeholders, members of the media and members of the public to make adequate preparations and join the celebration.
The magazine also appreciates the individuals, organisations and partners who have supported the MOPA platform and contributed to its continued growth.
